The Refounders !!

La band, conosciuta a livello internazionale, non ha certo bisogno di presentazioni visto che sono attivi dal 1991 e sono al loro decimo album !!

"The Blues had a baby and they named it Rock’n’Roll… questo non è solo un classico di Muddy Waters ma è anche il motto dei Refounders.

Classico quartetto voce/armonica, chitarra, basso e batteria, lo stile fin dagli inizi è un misto di R’n’R-Rock Blues suonato con la carica adrenalinica del punk (Pub Rock); i gruppi di riferimento sono Dr. Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, Eddie & The Hot Rods, Inmates, The Pirates, ecc.

Appena capita l’occasione sono on the road, con tour che hanno toccato più volte tutta l’Europa e due volte il Giappone.

A inizio 2018 hanno registrato il nuovo disco (il decimo) “On The Rocks”, in analogico su bobina; il disco è stato pubblicato su vinile gatefold, su CD e si può trovare su tutte le piattaforme digitali.

A marzo 2019 hanno effettuato l’ennesimo tour europeo.

Breve recensione tratta da un giornale di Manchester in seguito ad una data dell’ultimo tour:

Those of us who stuck around for the late segment of Saturday’s itinerary were lucky enough to catch noted Italian rockers The Refounders as their European tour pulled in to the back room of a pub. The singer’s main performance trick involved fizzing up a can of John Smiths Extra Smooth and cracking it open at his crotch, allowing a frothy mess to burst forth. Their incendiary encore of ‘Great Balls Of Fire’ was life-affirming. They’ll go far!!!
