Il film "The Artist" trionfa al prestigioso evento aggiudicandosi dodici nomination.

LONDRA - "The Artist" si è guadagnato ben 12 nomination ai BAFTA Awards. Le nomination ai BAFTA sono state annunciate questa mattina e la pellicola francese gareggerà per aggiudicarsi il premio come Miglior film a fianco di "Paradiso Amaro", "Drive", "The Help" e "La Talpa".

Michel Hazanavicius, Nicolas Winding Refn, Martin Scorsese, Tomas Alfredson e Lynne Ramsay proveranno invece a strappare il titolo di Miglior regista.

I protagonisti di "The Artist" sono stati inoltre acclamati per le loro qualità recitative: Jean Dujardin è in lizza per vincere il premio di Miglior attore maschile, mentre la collega Bérénice Bejo gareggia per lo stesso titolo al femminile. Tra gli altri attori che si contendono il prestigioso premio vi sono anche: Brad Pitt, Gary Oldman, George Clooney e Michael Fassbender. Mentre sul versante femminile si segnalano: Bérénice, Meryl Streep, Michelle Williams, Tilda Swinton e Viola Davis.

"The Artist" si è inoltre aggiudicato i premi come Miglior sceneggiatura originale, Miglio musica, Miglior montaggio, e Miglior costumi. Anche il film "La Talpa" è stato decisamente apprezzato e si è guadagnato 11 nomination tra le quali Miglior film inglese, Miglior adattamento e Migliore produzione.

La pellicola di Martin Scorsese "Hugo" potrebbe aggiudicarsi nove premi, mentre "My Week with Marilyn" ha preso sei nomination. A pari merito "The Help" e "War Horse", entrambi con 5 nomination.

Tra i migliori attori di supporto nominati troviamo: Christopher Plummer, Jim Broadbent, Jonah Hill, Kenneth Branagh e Philip Seymour Hoffman. Per le attrici si segnalano: Carey Mulligan, Jessica Chastain, Dame Judi Dench, Melissa McCarthy e Octavia Spencer.

I BAFTA Awards del 2012 si svolgeranno alla Royal Opera House di Londra in Covent Garden il 12 febbraio.
